The Enneagram and Grieving
Sat, Aug 29 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
The "Enneagram and Grieving" will be taught at the Micah Center by Suzanne Stabile. Grieving a loss is natural and healthy. In my personal experience, including my place in the world as a pastor's wife, I am stunned by our cultural inability to grieve openly and honestly and in an oveall healthy way. Because of my life's work with the Enneagram, I am intuitively aware that we all grieve in different ways. However, the behavior associated with grief is likely to be Number specific and personality type plays a significant role in where a person is likely to be stuck in the grieving process. It is to our advantage to learn what we can, using the wisdom of the Enneagram, so that we can grieve in ways that are life giving, enhancing our ability to accept loss and enabling us to keep moving forward. This is a new workshop that has been years in the making. I so hope that you will be able to join us.
Enneagram and Passions
Sat, Sep 12 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
"The Enneagram and Passions" will be taught at the Micah Center by Suzanne Stabile. As it turns out...too much of a good thing naturally becomes a bad thing. Excess turns our gifts into curses. One of the gifts of the Enneagram is that it offers us an opportunity to identify the passion that is most directly connected to our personality type. Anger, Pride, Deceit, Envy, Avarice, Fear, Gluttony, Lust and Sloth are all the result of too much of a good thing. Suzanne Stabile created this workshop in response to her understanding that Enneagram Passions promise something they cannot deliver. Passions are attempts to cope with or enhance life with unsuitable means and willpower is an ineffective way to try to cope with this reality. It is our hope that you can join us for the day as we explore new responses to the things in life that tend to awaken our passions.
