prose and poetry, as well as dynamic works of visual art. We invite you to be part of this new endeavor.
At Life in the Trinity Ministry, we encourage conversation about everyday, holy topics that matter. As we gather people of a wide range of denominations
and faith beliefs, we pray that Holon magazine will foster community and communion in each of its triannual journals in 2012 and beyond.

Thomas Merton asserts that "to allow oneself to be carried away by a multitude of conflicting concerns, to surrender to too many demands, to commit oneself to too many projects, to want to help everyone in everything is to succumb to violence." Other forms of mindless violence include our lack of authenticity and truth telling, judgmentalism, blaming, cynicism, exploitation of others, and more. How have you discovered and begun to heal your own tendencies toward mindless violence? What kinds of intentional practices have set you on the path to non-violent living?
