 Means of Grace |
Sat, Jan 16, 2010 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Life in the Trinity Ministry (LTM) will offer a new program for intensive adult spiritual formation beginning in 2010. The institute, entitled Means of Grace, will be limited to forty (40) registered participants who are prepared and able to participate in all scheduled events over a two-year period. The programs curriculum will integrate teaching and practice of the classical spiritual disciplines, with a specific focus on living out the disciplines in Christian community.
Means of Grace offers participants a rare opportunity to practice intentionality in their personal spiritual journey, to focus on personal growth and transformation in the context of loving community.

 Heart Triad |
Sat, Jan 30, 2010 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
This workshop will concentrate on Enneagram Numbers, TWO, THREE, AND FOUR. As with all Enneagram workshops all who know their number are invited to participate in the experience of this day. Sometimes what we learn about those we are in relationship with is as valuable as what we discover about ourselves.
The instruction offered in this workshop will focus on several aspects of this triad. First, the reality that 2/3/4's respond to life instinctively and are inclined to "do" something about their perceptions. They are focused outside of themselves on the outer world and they try to order their environment by controlling people and circumstances. These numbers are marked by adapting to what is external while lacking clarity about what is internal. The is the feeling triad and part of the day will focus on the emotional life of these three personalities. This day can be very helpful for those who are prepared for some information that can lead to transformation. Please join us.

 Contemplative Prayer |
Sat, Feb 20, 2010 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
"Contemplative prayer is the movement of becoming acquainted experientially with God, beyond the confines of rational dialogue. It is deeply imbedded in the gospel and in the Christian tradition. Contemplative prayer is an essential part of holistic health." Father Thomas Keating, OCSO.
The sooner contemplative prayer can be experienced, the sooner one will perceive the direction toward which the spiritual journey is tending. From that intuition will come the motivation to make all the sacrifices required to persevere in the journey.
In this workshop we will follow the advice of Matthew 6:6 that says if you way to pray - in you want to relate more profoundly with God - enter your inner room. Close the door, which is an invitation to turn off the internal dialogue and then pray in secret to your Father. It sounds on the surface like a solitary time and place, but how rare is that in our culture. Rather it is an invitation to become at east and present to the divine indwelling, which is the life of the Trinity within each of us. The kingdom of God is within us as well as all around us.
For this workshop we will delve deeper into the practice of contemplative prayer. Our time will be spent both in study and in the practice of prayer with opportunity to share and reflect on the effect of this ancient form of prayer in our lives.
In Matthew, Jesus says: your heavenly Father will reward you. Our reward will be the growth of faith, hope, and love and the fruits of the Spirit in our lives.
